OUR STORY
Liberty Marine Logistics is a veteran-owned physical security consulting and emergency preparedness firm serving Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. Founded in 2022 by two U.S. Coast Guard veterans, the firm was built on a simple premise: property owners, residents, and businesses in South Florida deserve honest, independent security intelligence — delivered by people who have operated in some of the most demanding environments in the world.
The founders bring over 48 years of combined experience across maritime law enforcement, force protection, counter-narcoterrorism, disaster response, and military installation security. Both are certified instructors who have led multinational and joint training operations across Central and South America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East — in direct support of U.S. national policy and international security partnerships.
That experience translates directly to the work. Our founders bring firsthand experience from disaster response deployments during their U.S. Coast Guard careers, including Haiti, Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria, and South Florida following Hurricane Milton. The firm holds ALERRT Active Threat Response certification and has provided bespoke operational support at some of the most high-profile events in the country — including Art Basel Miami, Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, LIV Golf, the PGA Tour, the World Baseball Classic, and major international boat shows across South Florida.

MEET THE FOUNDERS
William Flores
CEO & FOUNDER
Will Flores is the co-founder and CEO of Liberty Marine Logistics, where he sets the strategic direction for the firm's physical security consulting practice across South Florida. Will built LML on a founding conviction shaped by two decades of federal service: that property owners deserve the same rigor and discipline the U.S. government demands for its own critical assets — delivered without the conflicts of interest that come from selling equipment or installation services.
Before founding LML, Will spent 20 years in the U.S. Coast Guard, closing his career as head of Security Forces and Command Security Officer, where he oversaw physical security operations for federal installations. Nine of those years were spent in the Coast Guard's deployable specialized forces community — small teams, short notice, high-consequence environments — running interdiction operations and training partner-nation forces in places most security firms never go.
That combination — years spent executing security operations in the field, followed by years spent building and overseeing the programs behind them — shapes how Will approaches every property LML assesses.
Will is ALERRT-certified in Active Threat Response, the FBI's designated national standard, and led disaster-response operations in Haiti (2010) and Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria (2017). He now applies that same operational discipline to LML's client engagements, translating federal security methodology into practical, risk-based programs for homeowners, HOA boards, and businesses across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach.
Rob Farmer
CFO & FOUNDER
Rob Farmer is co-founder and CFO of Liberty Marine Logistics, bringing more than 25 years of security, force protection, law enforcement, and risk management experience to the firm. A retired U.S. Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer, Rob's background includes serving as Command Security Officer for U.S. Coast Guard Base Miami Beach, overseeing physical security, cybersecurity coordination, personnel security, and background investigations across four geographically separated facilities.
That depth of experience is what Rob brings to Liberty Marine Logistics, which he co-owns and operates alongside fellow Coast Guard veteran Will Flores, applying the same rigor to residential and commercial security assessments for South Florida property owners.
Recognized as a critical thinker and trusted security advisor, Rob specializes in evaluating complex security challenges and developing practical, risk-based solutions that balance security, compliance, and operational efficiency. His experience spans physical security systems, access control, CCTV, background investigations, force protection, security policy development, and collaboration with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. A proven leader with multiple commendation and achievement medals, he is known for delivering strategic security programs that protect people, facilities, and critical assets while building strong relationships with stakeholders at every level.
